Sung Eucharist (CW) Choral worship with anthem and Eucharistic setting.  Monthly visiting choirs.  Sermon.

Sung Evensong (BCP) followed by various refreshments in the snug of the Nine Bells, Privy Street.
 
Choral worship with anthem and sung psalm, canticles and responses.
Visiting clergy and invited to robe.  Tourists are reminded that it is forbidden to take photographs of the choirboys.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS IN THE CLOSE

 

SHEEP PROCESSIONS - MONDAY 2th MAY (St. George - transferred)

Once again the Sheep Processions will move through the Close between 10.30 a.m. and 2.15 p.m.  Visitors are advised to bring a change of footwear. 

Thursday 12th MAY - S.P.I.T ANNUAL SERVICE

The S.P.I.T Annual Service of Celebration will take place in the Cathedral at 3.00 p.m.  Prior to this, from noon, the Close will host the S.P.I.T barbecue and pig roast.  The Close will be closed to normal visitors for the duration of this event.  The gates will open again at 4.30 p.m.

 

 

 
All enquiries about the music used in the Cathedral worship may be e-mailed too The Canon Precentor putting "Cathedral music enquiry" in the Subject line.  We welcome constructive comments about our programme, as well as donations towards the Choir's Christmas Party at the Wenchoster Pie-a-rama.

Applications for entry into the Choir school should be addressed in the first instance to The Dean of Wenchoster.  A medical examination will be required for all applicants.  Reductions in fees will be offered to those who show exceptional potential in range and movement, or who make a personal contribution to the Dean's Development Fund (for the establishment of link parishes in Aquitaine, France), or who fund the annual Chapter pilgrimage to the Black Virgin of Rocamadour.
