God is nice and lovely, He has a smiley face, Like his Son, our Saviour, His eyes are full of grace. When we're past being naughty And had a loving smack, God just wants to hug us And pat us on the back. If our day's been tearful, And our life seems tough, We must learn that living Involves a bit of rough. Friendship is a blessing, Comforting and kind, And the truest friend is One who doesn’t mind. We must never go where Angels fear to tread, Or forget to thank Him For our daily bread. Burning all our bridges We’ll only lose our way, Fearing the tomorrow Will worry our today. Walking in the footprints Of our gracious King, We will face each moment With a smile and sing – God is nice and lovely, Seated on his throne. On his right, our Saviour, Who calls us all his own.
