Oblates of the Order are also expected to be wholly ecumenical in their chosen Rule of Life, and to this end the novices are placed in a number of unexpected and unusual surroundings during any service of Initiation. This extremely rare photograph preserves for posterity one of the more bizarre of these tests when the Revd. W. E. Coyote from Saskatchewan takes his place amongst the junior members. All remain unimpressed and undisturbed.
