Late afternoon, and Deacon Margaret Wibbly is celebrating her recent admission into the Order of the Holy Hankie of Saint Veronica over a relaxed lunch in the company of the Dean of Wenchoster.  However, she is about to discover one of the more obscure initiation rites practiced by the Order - that of surreptitiously attaching a white balloon to the hair of the newest member with super-glue. Ms. Wibbly's day ends with a visit to Wenchoster Cottage Hospital to have it surgically removed. For the next fortnight she has to attend Mass wearing a black beret to cover the bald patch!
