Many of my fellow students are preparing to leave College to begin their most sacred work in the office of Priest. How I wish I was joining them instead of having to continue with this lengthy course with seemingly no end in sight. Of course, I recognise the need for suitable training, but since coming here I have felt my faith has come in for constant attack. The Authority of the Bible, and of the Church, and ever the Person and existence of Our Lord are continually questioned, and many of my fellow ordinands are, frankly, heretics! I really do not know what they are doing here. I can only persevere, pursuing my own studies, and seeking to keep myself separate from those disagreeable people.
